My husband(in my dreams) Idris Elba had some very choice words for the Oscar’s, Tyler Perry and Martin Lawrence.

Elba spoke his mind during the Len’s Project “Artist Spotlight” series in the Paul Robeson Center of Rutgers University’s Newark campus, where he was a featured speaker.

This is what he had to say, when asked about this year’s so-called “white out” at the Oscars, the controversy over his role in “Thor,” and his thoughts on Spike Lee vs. Tyler Perry……

- On the Golden Globes and this year’s Oscar “white-out:”

“Halle Berry and I were the only two black actors nominated for this year’s Golden Globes (Idris for the BBC mini-series “Luther” and Berry for “Frankie & Alice”). The Oscars aren’t designed for us … let’s focus on making more films.”

- On the controversy surrounding his role as Heimdall, in the upcoming “Thor:”

“It’s so ridiculous. We have a man (Thor) who has a flying hammer, and wears horns on his head and yet me being an actor of African descent playing a Norse god is unbelievable? I mean, Cleopatra was played by Elizabeth Taylor, and Ghandi was played by Ben Kingsley.”

- On the Spike Lee vs. Tyler Perry debate:

“Can I be candid?” he asked before turning to face the audience directly. “I don’t like all of Tyler Perry’s films. Yes, I did work with Tyler for ‘Daddy’s Little Girls’ because it portrayed a positive image of a black father. I am happy for Tyler’s success; we need Tyler Perry … by going to support his movies, we need to show economic strength. But we are also responsible for elevating film. I’m not with buffoonish characters like Madea or Big Momma.”

Movie mogul TYLER PERRY is doubtful he’ll ever leave behind his bachelor life and settle down with one woman, because he’s “not sure” he wants to be faithful.

The Madea Goes to Jail filmmaker has managed to juggle a handful of serious relationships with his busy career but Tyler admits he’s afraid of commitment and is enjoying living on his own.

He tells the New York Post, “I now have homes all over. L.A., Atlanta where I grew up, New York. But I live alone. In all my adult life I’ve had five serious relationships with women. And I’m not sure monogamy is for me.”

That’s right T.P…..keep it 100!

Film and TV producer Tyler Perry’s mother has died.      Ms. Willie Maxine Perry, who is said to be the inspiration behind Madea, passed away on Tuesday…….MORE HERE

T.P made the announcement through his website and posted a picture of himself and his mother with a caption saying,

“Willie Maxine Perry- February 12, 1945 to December 8, 2009. Thank you for all your prayers.”

The Movie and TV Director is being sued by the personal representative of the deceased gospel singer/songwriter Bertha James. {Ms. Bertha get your peoples off Tyler} LOLO

The suit claims Perry lifted an entire verse from a song James wrote in 1950 — “When I Think of the Goodness of Jesus” in his movie ‘Madea Goes to Jail.’

You remember this part of the movie, when Madea went before Judge Mabeline and was released from jail:

“When I think about Jesus and all He has done for me.

My souls cries out, Hallelujer!  I thank God for saving me! “

Uh Oh T.P……….they might have something there buddy!!

Ms. Bertha’s estate is also suing Lionsgate Entertainment for copyrights infringement.
