CNN announced today that political contributor Roland Martin is being suspended for his controversial Tweets during Super Bowl.

According to the Washington Post, the network issued this statement…….

“Roland Martin’s tweets were regrettable and offensive. Language that demeans is inconsistent with the values and culture of our organization, and is not tolerated. We have been giving careful consideration to this matter, and Roland will not be appearing on our air for the time being.”

Martin reportedly Tweeted that people should “smack the shigity” out of any male fans of the David Beckham underwear commercial.

If that’s the case, I should’ve been pimped slapped……

Cause I was truly drooling trying to bend it like Beckham!

The Tom Joyner Morning Show commentator also made fun of a New England Patriots player, who arrived wearing a pink jumpsuit…..

“He needs a visit from #teamwhipdatass,” Martin wrote.

Gay rights groups such as GLAAD accused him of condoning anti-gay violence, and pointed to columns he had written, such as one in which he compared homosexuality to alcoholism.

Martin has since issued an apology!

Musical power couple Beyonce and Jay-Z welcomed a baby girl!

Beyonce has finally given birth to a baby girl named “Blue Ivy!”

According to reports, the superstar 30, delivered Blue at the New York Lenox Hills Hospital via C-section on Saturday.

An observer reported to US Weekly, that hubby Hova was spotted walking the hospital floors looking “happy”.

Beyonce’s mom Tina and baby sister Solange were also spotted with flowers and pink balloons.

According to GMA, the couple chose “Ivy” because of the significance of the number “4″ or “IV,” –  Beyonce and Jay-Z were born on Sept. 4 and Dec. 4, respectively, were married on April 4, 2008, and Beyonce’s latest album is entitled 4.)

Despite the buzz, that her big sister gave birth during the holiday weekend, Solo sent a subliminal message on Twitter to put the rumors to rest!

Rumors were circulating that the 30 year old entertainer went into labor on Friday and gave birth to a baby girl named Tiana-May Carter!

On New Years Eve, eyewitnesses spotted a still very pregnant Bey and her hubby Jay-Z enjoying dinner at Buttermilk Channel in Brooklyn, where they feasted on fried chicken and oysters!

An onlooker said…..

She looked amazing. She wore sky-high heels. It was really impressive for an enormously pregnant woman. She looked like she was about to give birth.

I’m sure girlfriend has a cosmetic surgeon and trainer on speed dial!

Actress Essence Atkins and her hubby Jamie Mendez welcomed son Varro on Christmas day!

The 39 year old ‘Are We There Yet’ star tweeted……

Found it… our 1st baby, a beautiful healthy boy, was born on Christmas Day! #blessing.

Atkins and Mendez, who have been married for two years, are products of computer love, the couple met on Match.com!

In a recent Essence magazine feature, Atkins said she’s done it all, now its all about family…….

I didn’t have any morning sickness, everything has been extremely well. The only thing I changed was that I stopped working out. All of our friends are like, ‘You guys are just getting started while our [kids] are off to college,’ but it’s like I lived my life, I’ve taken trips to Paris for just 30 hours and came back, I’ve popped bottles, I’ve done it all, now I’m just ready and looking forward to being a mom.”

Real Housewives of Atlanta star Kim Zolciak and Atlanta Falcons player Kroy Biermann have tied the knot!

Zolciak, who openly dated a married Atlanta based Real Estate Developer, met Biermann at a celebrity fundraiser, during season 3 of the Bravo reality show!

The couple said “I Do” in a private ceremony on Friday.

Kim Tweeted……

“The Best day of my life!  Life is good.   I literally have everything I could dream of! Incredibly blessed and so grateful!”

Along with the wedding photo in black and white…..

The wedding will be featured in Life & Style magazine!

Kim and Kroy have a newborn son and Kim has two daughters from a previous marriage.

Former heavyweight boxing champion Joe Frazier lost his fight against liver cancer, on Monday.

News sources labeled Frazier, a legend in his own right, personifying the “gritty, working-class style of his hard0knocked hometown of Philadelphia.”

Frazier’s family issued a brief statement……

We The Family of … Smokin’ Joe Frazier, regret to inform you of his passing,” the statement said. “He transitioned from this life as ‘One of God’s Men,’ on the eve of November 7, 2011 at his home in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.”

Muhammad Ali issued this statement…..

“I will always remember Joe with respect and admiration. My sympathy goes out to his family and loved ones,” Ali’s statement said.

Boxer Floyd “Money” Mayweather sent his condolences via Twitter and offered to pay for the services.

My condolences go out to the family of the late great Joe Frazier.”#TheMoneyTeam will pay for his funeral services.”

I think speaking to the family directly would’ve been a lot more tactful….but hey that’s “Money Mayweather!”

According to NY Post’s Page Six, the ‘Desperate Housewives’ star recently had a romantic dinner, in New York, with NBA player Matt Barnes.

“There was definitely a spark between Eva and Matt. They weren’t seated next to each other, but you could tell there was something between them. There was a little hand-holding over the table and a lot of eye contact.”

Longoria’s representative quickly put the rumors to bed saying…..

As of right now I have decided NOT 2return 4 Season 4 of BBW due 2 artistic differences. Things may change bu as of now, NO!” tweeted the reality television star.

The other cast members for “Basketball Wives: Miami” haven’t quite sealed the deal…….
