The Hip Hop star is planning a two day festival in the City of Brotherly Love!

The TEA HEREIn a press conference, this morning, with Philadelphia Mayor Michael Nutter, Hova announced plans for the two day festival!

The “Budweiser Made in America” festival will feature nearly 30 acts “that embody the American spirit” across three stages at Fairmount Park in Philadelphia on Labor Day weekend Sept 1st and Sept. 2nd.

In an interview after the news conference Jay said…….

“It’s such an iconic place, so it felt like a natural fit. You’ll get to come out and have two great days, listen to some amazing music (and) discover some new bands.”

During the press conference held on the steps of the Philadelphia Museum of Art, Jay-Z fans were on hand, chanting his name.

One fan yelled out that he was the best and my husband, in my mind, with his confident swag replied…..“I agree.”

The festival, that will include Rock, Rap, R&B, Latin and Dance music, will benefit the United Way of Greater Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey.

The full list of performers will be announced May 21st and tickets go on sale May 23rd.

New mommy Jessica Simpson is launching a maternity line!

The TEA HERESinger and designer Jessica Simpson has decided to expand her already popular fashion lines for the expecting mommy-to-be!

On Monday, the 31-year-old star, who gave birth to daughter Maxwell Drew Johnson on earlier this month, announced a partnership between Camuto Group, the master licensee behind her label, and retailer Destination Maternity.

Jess’s baby bump style hitting stores in the fall, will include a hint of 70′s style.

She said she’ll aim for clothes “flattering to your baby bump.”

This collection adds to her already strong fashion portfolio, with 24 product categories, including clothes, jewelry, shoes and beauty products.

Well, I’m really hyped that finally everybody can hear the sultry vocals and powerful lyrics that I bragged about, after experiencing a session with the King of R&B in that Atlanta studio, last July.

THE BUZZ

Its been fourteen long years, since R&B crooner Bobby Brown released a solo album…….

And after much anticipation and doubt, from some of you, “The Masterpiece” is finally ready!

With “Masterpiece”, the New Edition member with the past “bad boy” image is giving the fans what they’ve been missing since his hits such as “My Prerogative”, “I Need A Girlfriend”, and “Tenderoni”.

“I’m hoping to bridge the gap between good ole R&B and R&B of today!”

“I simply wanted to create a body of work that will take listeners on a musical journey,” he said in a statement about “Masterpiece.” “The style of music that will allow people to get in touch with their highs and lows and their joys and pain of living through song.”

Brown is scheduled to appear on various shows such as ‘Ellen” and “Wendy Williams” to promote his new album, due for release on June 5th.

Additionally, he will be hitting the road with a loaded tour schedule with New Edition and solo appearances…….

And according to the buzz, Bobby and fiance Alicia Etheridge will marry in Honolulu, this summer, while he’s there touring with the band.

VH1 president Tom Calderone announced that the 2012 Divas Concert will pay homage to a true diva, our beloved Whitney Houston.

According to Calderone, the show set for December will feature participants singing covers of Houston’s greatest hits.

We all felt that if any show could pay tribute to Whitney’s music, it would be ‘Divas’,” says Calderone.

Houston’s musical director Rickey Minor will serve as executive producer of the show.

The legendary star broke the world’s heart, when she died in February at age 48.

But one powerhouse vocalist made his coach proud!

Last night, my all time favorite singing show, ‘The Voice’ ended with a bang!

From amazing celebrity duets to the heart wrenching final four, that left three dudes and a chic, the two hour special had me glued to the tv yelling……..”come on why dontcha!”

And with what felt like a million commercial breaks, much anticipations, and hesitation the winner was finally announced!

Congratulations to Jermaine Paul of Team Blake!!

The New York native and former Alicia Keys background singer has finally moved to the front!

Paul, who was coached by country singer and “Voice” mentor Blake Shelton, was awarded the show’s grand prize of $100,000 and a record deal with Universal.

In his tearful interview with host Carson Daly, Paul thanked his family and yelled…..“Nobody but GOD!”

I love it!!

If it wasn’t Jermaine, I was definitely rooting for Juliet Simms from Team Cee Lo, who came in second!

Tony Lucca from Team Adam came in third and Chris Mann from Team Christina finished fourth!

Could the many years of trauma to the head be the cause of his untimely death?

DETAILS HEREThe National Football League is mourning the loss of retired linebacker Junior Seau, he was 43.

According to reports, the Pro Bowler was found dead from a gunshot wound to the chest at his home in Oceanside, Calif. Wednesday morning.

Seau played in the NFL for 20 years for the San Diego Chargers, Miami Dolphins and New England Patriots.

Chargers Chaplain Shawn Mitchell told ABCNews.com that Seau died of a “self-inflicted gunshot wound to the chest this morning.”

Some doctors have reported a growing link between head trauma, mental illness and suicide, a connection that has come to the forefront of sports safety research in the last decade.

If Seau indeed commit suicide, his death would bear an eerie resemblance to that of other athletes in hard-hitting sports, such as Chicago Bears football player Dave Duerson, who shot himself in the chest in February of last year.

Seau was 43 and leaves behind three children, a very heartbroken mother, siblings, family, friends and fans.

Just sad!!

Authorities are investigating what caused the fire that damaged Tyler Perry’s Atlanta based studios.

According to Capt. Jolyon Bundrige with the Atlanta Fire Department, firefighters were able to contain the blaze to one building in the center of the complex, owned by the filmmaker.

Approximately 96 firefighters were dispatched to the four-alarm blaze, which was extinguished within an hour.

Many firefighters were expected to remain at the scene for several hours battling hot spots.

Perry was at his Continental Colony Parkway complex Tuesday night and spoke with Fire Chief Kelvin Cochran, Bundrige said.

He did not speak to reporters gathered around his 200,000sq ft studio.

No injuries were reported, Bundrige said.

DETAILS HEREOrange County Sheriff Jerry Demings told The Associated Press that multiple defendants will be charged in 26-year-old Robert Champion’s death, although he refused to say what the charges are.

Prosecutors have built five cases against defendants with charges ranging from misdemeanors to felony charges, said Danielle Tavernier, a spokeswoman for the State Attorney’s Office in Orlando. She refused to specify the charges pending an announcement by prosecutors on Wednesday.

Prosecutors sometime cluster defendants by case, meaning the number of defendants could be higher than five, said Bob Dekle, a University of Florida law professor.
