CNN, has confirmed the passing of singing sensation Whitney Houston.

Houston, known for her magical voice and overpowering acting, was found dead a day before the Grammy Awards**Tear**

According to L.A police detective Mark Rosen, authorities were called to the Beverly Hilton hotel, where Houston was staying and scheduled to attend Clive Davis’ Pre-Grammy party.

The EMT administered several attempts to revive Houston before she was pronounced dead at 3:55pm.

The cause of death is unknown.

Our heart and prayers go out to Bobby Christina, her mother Cissy, family and friends.

Baltimore Ravens player Ricky Williams has officially retired from the NFL.

On Tuesday, the Pro Bowl running back confirmed that he is calling it quits after 11 season in the National Football League.

The former Miami Dolphin star released this statement to the University of Texas…….

The NFL has been an amazing page in this chapter of my life. I pray that all successive adventures offer me the same potential for growth, success and most importantly fun. I want to thank all my fans, teammates, coaches and supporters for the strength they’ve given me to overcome so much.”

Williams led the NFL in 2002 with 1,853 yards rushing for the Miami Dolphins and received his lone Pro Bowl invitation that season.

Now 34, Williams assumed a backup role with the Ravens last season. Playing behind Ray Rice, Williams gained 444 yards on 108 attempts and scored two touchdowns.

The 19 year old Fort Lauderdale, Florida(my home girl) songstress has signed on the dotted line with Epic Records.

Epic’s head man in charge, L.A Reid said that he joined X Factor to discover new talent such as Melanie.

The no holds barred judge went on to say…….

I am pleased that she is now signed to Epic Records because I believe we have only scratched the surface on uncovering her talent and her inevitable journey to super-stardom.

Melanie also received a $5million prize and a Pepsi commercial that will air during the Super Bowl!
