EX-FAMU BAND DIRECTOR SAYS HE WARNED OF HAZING!

Fired band director of FAMU’s Marching 100 says he repeatedly warned university leaders about hazing.

Details HERE

At a press conference on Monday, Julian White said he was second-guessed after continuous warnings to higher-ups about the dangers of hazing and that he’s being made the scapegoat for the recent death of band member Robert Champion.

White claims that he suspended 26 members, for hazing, two weeks before Champion’s death on November 19th.

According to reports, Champion, 26, a rookie Drum Major in the Marching 100, dropped the baton during the half-time of performance against rival Bethune Cookman at the Florida Classic.

Details have been sketchy as to what occurred between the time Champion entered the bus and was found unresponsive by authorities.

He died at a nearby hospital.

A few days later, Orange County Sheriff Jerry Demings confirmed that hazing was involved.

White has been asked by Champion’s family to speak at his funeral service on Wednesday!
