Season 13 of Dancing with the Stars ended tonight!
And the winner of the Mirror Ball trophy is……

Congratulations to actor JR Martinez and his partner Karina Smirnoff!
Martinez, an army veteran and former “All My Children” star, beat out 11 celebrities including finalists reality star Rob Kardashian and talk show host Ricki Lake, becoming the newest ballroom champion.
First and foremost, I want to thank everybody who voted for us for 10 weeks. Thank you America for believing in us,” J.R. said.
JR’s fan base grew as he put his heart and soul on the ballroom floor, receiving the first perfect score(30) of the season.
In 2003, as a United States Army infantryman deployed in Iraq, the truck Martinez was driving hit a land mine and the subsequent explosion resulted in burns over 40 percent of his body.
Martinez was truly an inspiration to many and made me proud to be an American!
God bless him and all of the other brave soldiers for putting their lives on the line!
No one deserved the “W” more!!
