Hip Hop icon Heavy D will be laid to rest with a private ceremony at a historic New York church.

On November 18th, the family, friends and fans of Heavy D, will say their final goodbyes at the prestigious Grace Baptist Church of Mt Vernon.

A solemn, yet sophisticated service is set for the 44 year old rapper turned actor born Dwight Arrington Myer, who died on Tuesday after collapsing outside his California home.

Reports state the “Overweight Lover” was stricken with walking pneumonia.
