Several years of high profile support and petitions doesn’t change the minds of the Georgia Board of Pardons and Paroles.
Death row inmate Troy Davis is still facing death by lethal injection on Wednesday.

On Monday, Georgia’s state Board of Pardons and Paroles heard a last ditch clemency plea on behalf of Davis, who was “wrongly” convicted of killing a police officer in 1989, but adjourned without stating its decision.
Sadly, this morning, Steve Hayes, a spokesman for the BOPP, announced that the panel had declined Davis’ request for clemency.
According to reports, Davis was convicted of killing Savannah, Georgia police officer Mark Allen MacPhail.
Its the fourth time, in four years, his execution has been schedule by Georgia officials.
Davis’ case has generated national and international attention.
More than 600,000 people worldwide have signed petitions calling for clemency.
