After a long awaited return……
Jill Scott is back with her fourth album, due out tomorrow!!!
After nearly a 4 year break from the music scene, the Grammy Award winning songstress is finally back in the game with her latest album ‘The Light of the Sun’.
The CD features production from Terry Lewis(Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis), JR Hutson, and the Justice League with guest appearances by Anthony Hamilton, Eve, Doug E Fresh, and Paul Wall.
This is what Scott said in an interview with the NPR……
Not everything is up for conversation; not everything is up for art. But do I really discern what is and what’s not? That’s the question,” she says. “Particularly with this record, I’ve really just been standing in front of the microphone and blacking out musically. I come back a couple hours later and there’s six songs from beginning to end.
Jill is such an amazing overall talent…..singer songwriter and actress.
I loved her in the HBO hit series ‘The No. 1 Detective Agency’ and of course Tyler Perry’s ‘Why DiD I Get Married’.
Can’t wait to cop it…..you should too!
