Luxury shoe and accessory maker Jimmy Choo has been bought by the private group Labelux.

The Jimmy Choo brand, was originated in London, in 1996, by Malaysian designer Jimmy Choo and Tamara Mellon.

According to reports, Mellon and CEO Joshua Schulman will remain with the company.

The Germany based Labelux company also owns Swiss luxury brand Bally and New York apparel label Derek Lam.
