SPORTS REPORTER’S CAUSE OF DEATH STILL UNKOWN!

The unexpected death of NBC 5 sportscaster Daryl Hawks remains a mystery!

The Chicago reporter’s body was found in his Atlanta hotel on Thursday.

According to friends, Hawks 38, was excited to cover the Atlanta vs Chicago playoff series at Philips Arena.

A medical examiner says the initial phase of his investigation found no obvious cause of death in the veteran anchorman’s case.

Atlanta police spokesman Carlos Campos has said police do not suspect anything criminal.

Dr. Randy Hanzlick, Fulton County’s chief medical examiner, said Friday that more time is needed to conduct additional procedures such as microscopic examination of tissues and toxicology testing.

Friends and colleagues noted he was the picture of health, a former Marine and running back who briefly played semipro football with the Lockport (N.Y.) Invaders, and regularly played tackle football, basketball and golf.

I work out everyday, other than spending time with my family, it’s what I love doing most,” Hawks wrote in his NBC5 biography.

Hawks grew up in Buffalo, N.Y., and has worked at TV stations in the California Bay Area; Raleigh, N.C.; Jacksonville, Fla.; and Palm Springs, Calif.

He lives behind a wife and three children(one from a previous relationship).
