FIRST LADY OBAMA’S CLOSE CALL!

The skies haven’t been so friendly, as of late, with air traffic controllers sleeping on the job!

Now this…..

A plane carrying First Lady Michelle Obama had to abort landing after coming too close to a cargo jet!

According to reports, air traffic controllers had to abort the jetliner carrying the First Lady and Vice President Joe Bidden’s wife Jill, at Andrews Air Force Base.

This latest incident occurred when a Boeing 737 belonging to the Air National Guard, one of several guard planes used by the White House, came within about three miles of a massive C-17 as the planes were approaching Andrews to land, according to the FAA and Maj. Michelle Lai, a spokeswoman for Andrews.

The FAA requires a minimum separation of five miles between two planes when the plane in the lead is as large as the 200-ton cargo jet, in order to avoid dangerous wake turbulence that can severely affect the trailing aircraft.

Fortunately no one was hurt…..

But, the incident is under investigation to see who is at fault!

Get it together ATC!!

I fly too much for this fooleywang!!

  I don’t know if the First Lady was tripping as hard as I was when my USair flight into Ft. Lauderdale International for the 2010 Jazz in the Garden event had to abort the landing; From what seemed like a couple yards away from the runway. You have not felt an adrenaline rush until you have been suddenly shot back up into the sky on a 757 Boeing jumbo jetliner. I have been in the travel industry for many years and this was a human error which could have caused the lives of hundreds of people; but God is still in the blessing business. Once we leveled off and the plane had regained circuling altitude the pilot came on and apologized for the error. He did blame the tower for the mistake; but I thank God that there is someone else on board at the wheel and in the tower that saved our lives that night and the First Lady’s life on her flight. To God be the glory.
