Prince announced the series, dubbed ‘Welcome 2 America’, to a New York audience at the Apollo theater on yesterday!!

The singer says ‘W2A’ is “best described as what we’ve all been waiting for.”
He told concertgoers to…… “bring friends, bring your children and bring foot spray ’cause it’s gon’ be funky.”
The show will feature funk, R&B and jazz artists including Maceo Parker, Janelle Monae, Mint Condition, Esperanza Spalding, Lalah Hathaway, Sheila E., Cassandra Wilson and Graham Central Station.
Now……that sounds like a party!!
Especially if he sings my favorite hits like…..’Little Red Corvette’, ‘Die 4 U’, ‘Purple Rain’, and ‘If I Were Your Girlfriend.’
The only thing missing would be his James Brown splits……..two recent hip replacement surgeries put a stop to all of that!
The schedule hasn’t been released yet!
But I’m keeping my eyes wide open…….
