MR. BIG TO RECEIVE LIFETIME AWARD!

Every time I think of  Ron Isley…..I have to sing ‘Friend of Mine’ with him, R. Kelly and Kelly Price!

But I have been singing Ron Isley & the Isley Brother songs since I was child and I’m sure many of you can relate to his five decades of hits like…..

‘Between the Sheets’, ‘Footsteps in the Dark,’ ‘Downlow’ and thousands more!!

And even after his short stint in prison for tax evasion, he was released early this summer…..

Mr. Big is ready to love us up with more hits!

He is teaming up with Lauryn Hill to remake the 1963 hit ‘Close to You’ by The Carpenters!

Well, after such an amazing career…….Soul Train Music Awards will hand Isley a Lifetime Achievement Award!

The show will be taped in Atlanta on November 12th and air on Centric telecast on Sunday, Nov. 28 at 9 p.m. EST.

Singer Anita Baker will also be honored……

And Terrence Howard and Taraji P. Henson will return as hosts.

Congrats Ron Isley!!
