Haitian born entertainer Wyclef Jean appeared on Oprah yesterday to talk about what he saw while on the ground in Haiti……
He also discussed the controversy over his Yele Haiti Foundation, of which he admittedly denied taking foundation money for personal benefit.
Sexy singer Maxwell, whose grandmother was of Haitian decent, also appeared on the show; along with Rihanna who performed Bobby Marley’s ‘Redemption Song’.

With performances by Christina Aguilera, Alicia Keys, Bono, Justin Timberlake and Sting……..Tom Cruise and Julia Roberts have been announced as two of the celebrities who will man the phones.

Among the appearances:
From New York City: Wyclef Jean, Jennifer Hudson, Mary J. Blige Bruce Springsteen, Shakira and Sting.
From Los Angeles: Stevie Wonder, Alicia Keys, John Legend, Christina Aguilera, Justin Timberlake, Dave Matthews, Taylor Swift, while Keith Urban, Kid Rock and Sheryl Crow will perform together.
From London: Coldplay will appear and Bono, The Edge, Jay-Z and Rihanna will perform a brand new song that Jay-Z and Bono wrote together, produced by Swizz Beats.
Money pledged during the telethon will be evenly divided between the following organizations: Yele Haiti, UNICEF, American Red Cross!
