According to MSNBC

“The Princess and the Frog” earned a big wet kiss from family audiences as the animated musical leaped to No. 1 with $25 million in its first weekend of nationwide release, according to studio estimates Sunday.

The Disney musical is the studio’s first hand-drawn animated tale in five years, a contrast to the computer-animated films that now dominate the cartoon world. SOURCE

I am so happy for Anika…..girlfriend has been killing the stage for years.

But she gained fame as Lorrell Robinson {Jimmy Early’s side piece} in the movie Dream Girls with Beyonce and Jennifer Hudson.

I absolutely love her acting as Jill Scott’s sidekick in the HBO series The #1 Detective Agency

And she is also a graduate of a HBCU………Florida A&M University! So you gotta love her!
